Friday, March 2nd, LiveWell Greenville hosted our annual meeting for team members and members of the community alike.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from Tamela Spann, the Director of Strategic Initiatives of the Hollingsworth Funds.
Following this address, our LiveWell Executive Director, Sally Wills, stepped onto stage. She introduced our Community Action Plan, which focuses on HEALing Greenville through Healthy Eating and Active Living. In brief, our plan is to increase access to healthy foods and physical activity in Greenville County through policy, system, and environment changes. Our role is to connect, facilitate, convene, evaluate, AND support these healthy initiatives.
Before breaking out into small sessions, Mike Teachey, the Executive Director of Greenville CAN communicated our Call to Action.
Attendees broke out into workgroups led by various leaders in our community: Summer Feeding, led by Dr. Shaniece Criss; Food Desert Initiative, led by Tobi Kinsell; Shared Use Agreements, led by Shannon Cole; Parks Prescription, led by Mike Teachey; At Worship, led by Margaret Stephens; At Work, led by Abby Russell; Early Childhood, led by Stephanie Knobel; Out of School Time, led by Brady Godfrey; and Phillis Wheatley Community Center, led by Chanell Moore.
Thank you to all of our attendees — we are ALL LiveWell Greenville.
