Speaker bio:
Dr. Chris Lombardozzi has been an active practicing emergency medicine physician for over 20 years. He is currently VP & System Chief Medical Officer for Quality at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and has a long history of leadership and patient advocacy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University in New York followed by medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago and then a combined residency in emergency medicine and pediatrics at Indiana University-Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Lombardozzi is a liaison to the CDC Healthcare Infection Prevention Advisory Council. He is an active leader, administrator, clinician and patient advocate. Over the last few years you may have heard him speak on Opioid Stewardship, EMS practices, hospital throughput, patient experience, quality measurement, system improvement, improving communication skills, difficult conversations, diversity in the workplace and reducing health disparities
