Join a Workgroup

Workgroups bring together community members and partners to build and accomplish Community Action Plans. Workgroups are the bridge of our coalition. They take action on the goals and priorities that will best meet community needs, increasing equitable access to healthy eating and active living for all Greenville County residents. 

It takes a diverse and dedicated group to create lasting systems change in our community.

Current Initiatives

Build Trust, Build Health

Builds a trusting and inclusive community where White Horse Road Corridor residents not only have equitable access to health and health-promoting resources but are comfortable in utilizing them.

Food Security Coalition

Fosters creative solutions to ensure equitable access to sufficient, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food while advocating for a community-driven food system.

Early Childhood

Champions increased access to healthy eating and active living for all children ages 0-5 in Greenville County.

At Worship

Supports congregations to create healthier worship environments through healthy eating and active living initiatives.

Past Initiatives

At Out of School Time

Provides resources to childcare environments to promote healthy eating and active living.

At Work

Supports employers in assessing their health practices and policies in conjunction with SCHA’s Working Well platform.

Active Living

Supports and increases accessibility to safe, convenient places to be active across Greenville County.  

At the Doctor

Provides resources to Pediatricians and parents for improving child health.

Partner Engagement

Promotes development of plans that support neighborhoods across the county that provide access to physical activity and healthy food to foster healthy living.

At School

Helps create learning environments that support healthy eating and active living.
