We are especially thankful for the 55 parks and facilities that Greenville Rec manages throughout Greenville County. These public spaces are integral in providing residents with opportunities to be physically active.
It takes a lot of time and energy to keep these parks looking beautiful. Enter Park Heroes, a volunteer program started by Greater Greenville Parks Foundation. Over the past year, Park Heroes have completed 13 park improvement projects throughout the county in areas such as Conestee Park, Hampton Station, East Riverside Park, and Pavilion Recreation Complex.
In October, LiveWell Greenville was proud to assist with clean-up on the Swamp Rabbit Trail near Hampton Station, which will be our new office location beginning in 2017. Volunteers helped to pick up trash and trim overgrown trees and bushes along the trail.
