Help Build the Ultimate Playground!

The City of Greenville is building a playground!

We need you to bring play to kids at the David Hellams Community Center!

We need more than 75 volunteers from the Greenville community to help us give more than 200 area kids the childhood they deserve by building a new playground.

Wednesday, November 4th

8:00 am – 3:00 pm

 David Hellams Community Center

111 Spartanburg Street Greenville, SC 29607

  • Volunteers should be age 18+ and will assemble playground pieces, mix concrete, move mulch, etc.
  • Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes; leave valuables at home.
  • Youth activities provided.
  • Gloves, goggles, breakfast, and lunch will be provided.

Play is central to a child’s ability to grow into a productive adult. Together, we can ensure kids get the balance of play they need to thrive! Please join us and show that play matters to you.

RSVP to Megan Young at 864-467-4355 or mayoung@greenvillesc.gov  or register here.

If you are unable to attend in person, we hope that you will show your support for the cause of play in Greenville by joining the conversation online on November 4th using the hashtag #playmatters.
