healthy after school care programs

LiveWell Greenville hosted their Second Annual  Out of School Time (OST) Designation Celebration on October 23rd, in conjunction with Lights on Afterschool, in order to recognize out of healthy out of school time designation winners for excellence in supporting healthy environments. Thirty-five sites were designated with bronze, silver, or gold levels at the beautiful Embassy Suites outdoor terrace.  These sites were recognized for meeting LiveWell Greenville’s  OST best practices and providing a healthy environment for their children. Guest speakers Kamilah Staggers of Pleasant Valley Connections, and A’Leah Richardson, a parent from Pleasant Valley Connections, further inspired  providers to continue making healthy options for their students. The celebration concluded with a great rhyme describing the reason for healthy action from Margaret Stephens.  The overall goal of this event was to celebrate the fantastic OST providers wanting to take part in the fight to end childhood obesity.  LiveWell Greenville congratulates all OST providers wanting to make the healthy choice the easy choice at their site!
