Celebrating Out of School Time Successes

On October 22, 2015, LiveWell Greenville proudly hosted our third annual Out of School Time Awards, celebrating a year of progress and shining a light on dynamic out-of-school time programs building policies and environments that promote child health.

Our congratulations go to our participating care providers, who even in aiming to receive an award have taken great strides to make healthy choices for the school-aged children they serve.

At the 2015 awards ceremony, GHS pediatrician Dr. Erin Brackbill emphasized the need for out-of-school-time providers to continue support healthy choices for the children and families in their care. Encouraging nutritious snacks and including physical activity benefits these children both now and in the future!

After her speech, award winners received their plaques and, depending on award level, checks to support the work they are doing in their centers.
