YMCA Camp Greenville is undergoing a major revolution… by updating the kitchen equipment and casting out the deep fryer. This move comes as part of YMCA Camp Greenville’s New Year’s Resolution to become an even healthier camp by rethinking how food is prepared. There will be no deep fried items offered in the Dining Hall from now on and the fryers have gone out the door. Some of the new upgrades include a new stove, new ovens, and a new mixer, which will help Camp Greenville continue offering tasty, healthier meals and meet the needs of the diverse camper population including Gluten free, diabetic focused, allergy aware, and vegetarian options. The new equipment purchase was made possible by a donation by the Symmes Foundation. Thank you, YMCA Camp Greenville and the Symmes Foundation for your support to help camp visitors to live well!
